Welcome to South African Holidays.

You can browse through our website. Above are the Navagation bar that will take you to all the different parts.

Now we are approaching some, more familiar names. English names in fact, George is a magnificent little place, with accommodation right on the beachfront, and so cheap it make me wonder how long the South Africans can keep their prices so low.

Victoria Bay and Wilderness are pretty places in this beautiful area. Knysna, pronounced niesna, is good for most things, including Golf and then Pletternberg Bay. This is really the end of the route, although the next major city is Port Elizabeth, which is not too far away.

What to see, well apart from getting your name around the splendid names of little bush towns, some amazing golf courses at the best rates in the world. Oudtshoorn has the largest congregation of Ostritch Farms, they even have races, yes and you can bet on them too. The Children will love a ride on an Ostritch, much better than a donkey!!.

What is the Garden Route?. Most people say it starts in Cape Town and runs right through to Port Elizabeth, well it may be so but many who have travelled the route will say it really starts in Hermanus with the Whale watching (seasonal) and encompasses so many of the smaller centres on the coastal route Northwards towards Port Elizabeth.

I want to take you on what is commonly known as the garden route, and tell you a little of the towns along the wayside.

It would be foolish not to include the most Southerly place in Africa. Get a look in to little places like Gansbai, Pearly Beach, Buffeljagsbaai and Die Dam. Whatever you do, wherever you go do not miss the other side, visit Napier, Bredasdorp Arniston/Waenhuiskrans, Struisbaai and L'Agulhas. Even though the names mean nothing to you, the friendly "welkom" that you receive will be long in your memories.

Go North to Swellandam, Heidelberg Albertina and MosselBay

The desert lands of the Karoo are not too far away if you like that sort of thing, but the Little Karoo is right on your doorstep, in fact when you visit Calitzdorp or Oodtshooorn you are already in the region of the little Karoo.
